SteveMelchiorre Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 Thought I'd share a few pics. I'm still buffing out the "Rustoleum" paint job but I'm happy with it and the new wood bed. My son enjoys playing with his hotwheels between helping me work on the truck. I'm going to have the bars in my grill chromed and I'll be ordering my window rubber in the next few weeks. Enjoy... SteveMelchiorre Posted August 10, 2010 Author Report Posted August 10, 2010 I wound up using Mahogany White Oak was over $8 a board foot and I would need to mill it to size Red Oak was $7 a linear foot ...and Mahogany was $4.5 a linear foot and I've worked with it quite often when making furniture and it stands up quite well. Best of all the reds will only deepen over time and not get all black and mankey looking. Three coats of Spar varnish and we're good to go. Steve.... Quote
