Trunk Handle from 48 D24 same as 47 P15?

Folks,

Does anyone know if the trunk handle and mechanism from a 48 D24 is the same as a 47 P15 and if they would work?

The same exterior trunk handle was

used on all 4 Mopar brands during that time period 46-48.

I imagine someone will correct me if that's wrong.

Not sure that the inside latching mechanism was the same, though.

Here's a picture of the latch on the P15. The hook comes down from the

side to go under the piece mounted on the body.
