BobT-47P15 Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 Took the car to a show Saturday, sponsored jointly by our local Shrine Club and our Elks Lodge. Held at our lodge, in the large front yard which proved to be a good place. Not much shade though. Around 80 cars turned out, which was not too bad as at least one other show was happening in the area, plus a cruise-in scheduled for Sat night. Our car ended up with a 2nd place award in the "1900 to 1959, stock" class. The trophies were a bit different......made of flat aluminum. No other P15s, D24s or other 40s-50s Mopars turned up. Quote
P-12 Tommy Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 Congrats Bob!!! Who's car was so much better than yours to win first place?? Your car is fabulous!! Tom Quote

Edward Roberts Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 That's great, Bob, and what a cool trophy! Got my wife sold on those twin spots at a show this weekend. Hadn't noticed your compass before. What kind is it? Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted May 24, 2010 Author Report Posted May 24, 2010 Edward, that compass is an Air Way, an aftermarket item that could have been bought at a number of places. I got it at an estate sale pretty cheap, and with the exception of the light, it works fairly well. There are usually several compasses for sale on ebay. Just watch along for a while, and you probably can find a decent buy. There are various styles out there. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted May 24, 2010 Author Report Posted May 24, 2010 (edited) The car that won first at the show was a reeal nice 36 (?) Ford two door. I always lose points for my interior as I have seat covers, not real upholstry...... Edited May 24, 2010 by BobT-47P15 Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted May 25, 2010 Author Report Posted May 25, 2010 Oh, and here are some pics of the show, followed by a few from the cruise-in that evening. Link to the album: http://www2.snapfish.com/snapfish/thumbnailshare/AlbumID=4002887007/a=60456321_60456321/ Quote
