Took the car to a show Saturday, sponsored jointly by our

local Shrine Club and our Elks Lodge. Held at our lodge, in the large

front yard which proved to be a good place. Not much shade though.

Around 80 cars turned out, which was not too bad as at least one

other show was happening in the area, plus a cruise-in scheduled for

Sat night.

Our car ended up with a 2nd place award in the "1900 to 1959, stock"

class. The trophies were a bit different......made of flat aluminum.

No other P15s, D24s or other 40s-50s Mopars turned up.

Edward, that compass is an Air Way, an aftermarket item that could

have been bought at a number of places. I got it at an estate sale

pretty cheap, and with the exception of the light, it works fairly well.

There are usually several compasses for sale on ebay. Just watch along

for a while, and you probably can find a decent buy. There are various

styles out there.

The car that won first at the show was a reeal nice 36 (?) Ford two door.

I always lose points for my interior as I have seat covers, not real upholstry......
