Explorer rear diff

ok this is the last diff swap question im going to ask...im sure I have seen this on here before,

Ford explorer diff...is it a good swap? on my 54 C-1

i cant get to it to measure the width, however it is a disk brake diff, ford 8.8....i think i read on here that they are a good candidate

not sure about the front plate mount though.

Do you have discs up front ?

im using a 94' jeep cherokee rear end. bolt-up u-joints, wheels, just re-do the saddles.
