Rodney Bullock Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 WOW, I guess I will be the only forum member going to Atlantic city. The wife and I will be on the bus at 6:30 am stopping at the Chesapeake house. I'll be looking for a brake booster for the street rod. If I can get the wife to walk with some of the other women I might be able to get another car:cool:(dreaming) Just to see some other sites is good enough for me. This snow has me blinded. Quote
Jim Yergin Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 Rodney, Isn't Atlantic City one of the areas being hit the hardest with snow right now? Be careful traveling there and have a great time. Jim Yergin Quote
Joe Flanagan Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 Rodney, are you going tomorrow? You can't. You're supposed to be here. Seriously, though, I think Jim's right. I think they got pounded. Quote
Rodney Bullock Posted March 1, 2010 Author Report Posted March 1, 2010 I think I am going to start being very picky when it comes to my trips from now on. The AC trip was nice once we got there, The wife and I encountered about 6 accidents on the road to the bus on RT 50 It seems when the highway commision says the overpass and bridges freeze before the road they mean it. We saw trucks and SUV"s turned over on the highway and jeeps slamed into the rails. I thought a tornado had come though. We kept trying to figure out why these autos were all over the road. We were riding in a modern era car with no problems. We also were driving the speed limit. We got to AC and no snow anywhere but on the boardwalk. The Ocean was roaring and the cars were nice. WE bought some covers for the truck and a fan shield for the hot rod. We went over to Bally's and I nearly lost all our money I asked the wife for more and she gave it to me. Then this old man got the dice and I kept betting with him since my hand was dead. That cat won all our money back and then some so we walked back to the convention center by way of the outlet store. The wife got her some stuff and I was happy to save the day by way of someone else. I thanked the old guy as we all where in line to cash in. See what happens when you live right...almost Attached Thumbnails Quote
JerseyHarold Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 Rodney, Was the show worthwhile? I ended-up working in the house this weekend. Quote
Rodney Bullock Posted March 1, 2010 Author Report Posted March 1, 2010 yes it was, fun to get out. We drove though a small town and I saw this great looking place called "philly's" it was light up and looked like one of those diner's do you know anything about it? Quote
JerseyHarold Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 I haven't heard of philly's. I'm in Freehold, which is about 80 miles from AC so I'm not familiar with the local spots down there. Quote
