Rodney Bullock Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 Does anyone here have a 1942 chrysler convertible. A friend of mine has one and can't find front grill stuff. Anyone know a vendor? 1946-47 is not the same. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 (edited) Rodney, virtually nothing from the 46-48 models fits on the 42's - no matter which brand of car. The 42s had some really neat looking trim. Hope your friend can find what he needs. Sorry I don't have a suggestion on where to look. Might try posting on one of the other Chrysler related forums. Also - might watch e-bay and send message to sellers who have something for other 40s vintage Chryslers. Most may not - but you never know what info you might get.....just a thought. 42dodgeguy Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 Rodney: I can sympathize about the parts stuff. 42 is all by itself. I've got a 42 Dodge convert, and have found quite a bit of stuff on e-bay. One of the benefits of having a rarer car is that when you do find a part, you're often the only bidder. I've been recently lobbying on the forum to try to connect with other convert owners to discuss and share info on convertible specific stuff that comes up. Would enjoy contact with anyone...MIKE.mdracine@comcast.net Quote
