cbosman1 Posted December 20, 2009 Report Posted December 20, 2009 I'm taking out the hydrive tranny in my dad's 53 Plymouth. While I'm at it I would like to put a new clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing and pilot bearing in. I've had a hard time locating the hydrive clutch parts. I finally located some of them at Len Dawson's. The disc is $50, the bearing is $40, no pilot bushing and the pressure plate is a whopping $200. Are there any other places to buy hydrive clutch parts? The clutch hasn't gone bad yet, but my guess is that it is original so I want to replace as much as I can while I'm in there. Thanks in advance for the help, Chuck Quote

cbosman1 Posted December 21, 2009 Author Report Posted December 21, 2009 Thanks, do you have their information. I'm out in California, so the shipping might not make it worth it. Anyone know of some who rebuilds these things in California? Or any other place I can order the parts. Quote

As has been discussed the US Post Office has flat rate boxes available where you pay a flat rate irrevelent of weight. And I believe you get 3 day service with these boxes. Quote
cbosman1 Posted December 23, 2009 Author Report Posted December 23, 2009 I talked to Randy in Tennesse. He is a really nice guy and very helpful. He has all the right parts and a great price, but because I don't live near my dad I'm still hoping to find someone locally so I can get it done in the few days I'll be down there. Anyone know of someone in Southern California that rebuilds clutches and pressure plates? Quote
