Charlie Olson Posted December 4, 2009 Report Posted December 4, 2009 This evening, I was doing a Google search for different kinds of Phantom Woodies when I discovered PLYWOOD and I had been in the Seattle PI newspaper, car buff weekly article on 9/13/2004. I left Seattle to move to Arizona on September 15th and never knew if they had used my submission about PLYWOOD. Now I know. http://www.seattlepi.com/wheels/car.asp?CarID=180 Quote

Charlie Olson Posted December 4, 2009 Author Report Posted December 4, 2009 Yep, PLYWOOD and I moved to Arizona from the the Seattle area in the Fall of 2004. While in the Seattle area, we attended the Good Guys meet at Puyallup, the Evergreen District car show and the Evergreen State Fair. I especially liked driving PLYWOOD on to the Ferries and going over to Bremerton to meet up with Jon Lechich. Quote
moparbenny Posted December 4, 2009 Report Posted December 4, 2009 okay that explains everything....i never went to those shows....i did goodguys but that was in the early 90's and never went to the show in Monroe... something that unique i usually remember...but a least your in Woody weather now! and in 2041 hopefully my '51 will be down there too... Jim Yergin Posted December 4, 2009 Report Posted December 4, 2009 Charlie, Did you ever get your "nifty P-I insulated mug?" Jim Yergin Quote
Charlie Olson Posted December 5, 2009 Author Report Posted December 5, 2009 Nope, never got the mug. Is the PI still in business, I wonder? I might just call them up and ask for it. Quote
Charlie Olson Posted December 5, 2009 Author Report Posted December 5, 2009 Here is a list of all of the cars the paper featured in their weekly "my car" segment. Some very neat, cool and rare cars. http://www.seattlepi.com/wheels/carlist.asp Quote
