New Member has a few questions. I have a 51 B3B 4 sp. Pilot-House and was wondering if a 56 truck with a 4 sp. Poly would bolt in where the current six is? I understand the frame is different on a 51 and a 56. If it would not bolt in how hard would the change over be? I built/have a 34 Dodge PU with a Hemi and A 34 Plymouth with a 360 . Any help would be valuable. Thanks Perry Jones.

If you are swapping just the engine (with bellhousing) then the compatibility issue will centre on the lengths of the input shafts and to a minor part the spline count.

Additional issues will be the transmission bolt pattern (but that can be 'adjusted') and the 12 volt starter.

Is there an option to swap engine and trans?
