adam_knox Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 After reading the awesome hack for adding an mp3 cord, thought this might come in handy for some of us in summer! http://lifehacker.com/5308833/build-a-diy-portable-air-conditioner Quote

Normspeed Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 A couple years ago I bought a ready made insert that fits in the top of a 14 quart cooler and has a 12 volt fan built into it. I think it was called a Kooler-Aire. Same theory as this one except you were supposed to freeze some 2-liter plastic jugs of water and put them in the cooler for the cold source. Didn't do much for cooling the car or the teardrop, but after reading this article I may dig it outta storage and rig up a bilge pump and a small heater core. That seems a lot more efficient. Today it was 105 here at the peak. I admit it, I park the P24 and drive my Bronco or Festiva when it gets that hot. They have working A/C:) Quote
