Hi all, want to pull the oil pan for a new set of gaskest and for a clean-out.

What needs to be removed, besides the obvious the oil pan, does the tie rod need to be dropped, what about the clutch housing pan.....Fred

On a Plymouth the lower flywheel cover and the oil pan.

So remove the clutch pan first, they are a bit of apint to remove I recall.

I havea regular clutch and 3 spd trans on my 47 Chrysler, so much like a P15 job. Thanx James

1 other thing, once the pan is removed, I will of course clean it, then I want to paint it, can the bottom end be left open for a few days, should I cover it with plastic or something?.....Fred
