Question,51 B-3 Rims

Recommended Posts

There has been lots of discussion on the color, and more on the paint code. Don Bunn's B-Series Restoration book seems to indicate the cream yellow was the OEM standard after 1950. But, I believe anyone purchasing from the dealer could order wheels of a different color.

When I pulled my tires off to power coat the rims, the original pristine Dodge cream or yellow paint was nicely visible - never saw the light of day, so to speak. We matched it up with an RAL color chart, which is international in scope and can be translated into any brand paint color. The RAL number is 1015, ahdhere's what it looks like on the hoof.

Hope this is helpful.
