55 Fargo Posted June 24, 2009 Author Report Posted June 24, 2009 Here's how my seat covering went. Fabric was $70. My mum sewed with a basic sewing machine and hand stitched. Back seat was phenomenal, front seat still need to tie down. We sewed ties to the fabric to keep it taunt, but the front seat was a tad more complicated as there isn't a way to hide the ties. Before: After: Before: After: Here's the ties that can be seen from the back: Adam looks good, that is all I would need too, I knwo a guy up here who has a 47 T&C Sedan, he paid huge bucks for his upholstery, but its Bedford Cord and Leather, but looks awesome. For me I just need a nice, neat tidy job, not looking for a pristine covering.......Fred Quote

Fred, I'm still not certain of the trip. Still have Dr's appt's and those types of concerns, and have to be sure I have the cash, but I really need a change of scenery...BADLY I may just cancel the appt's and rescedule...they are a bunch of quacks anyway. Might be better quacks at the beach!!!! I was following that Hup restoration thread for a while...the guy is amazing...a great fabricator and very patient. Quote

Hi Pat, look me up if you make it too Manitoba, will bring car to show you, or you can come over here. The Hup dude, has patience, something I really need to develop more of, by the the time I painted my car I was sick of body work, mostly ythe dust mess not the actual work, so I really did not get all of what needed to be done, but what I did do seemed to come off pretty good, will correct all this "someday:rolleyes:", but for now it is time to get all the toher things doen, like upholstery, insulating, oil pan gasket and whatever ........Fred Quote
