=PlyPals=
Hello to all, recently I bought a NOS Sinko Bi-flector. (see picture for the model) Unfortunatly, there was no clamp. Can anyone give me details on the measurements? Thanks in advance! BobT-47P15
Kurt.....I don't have that exact model bug deflector. This one may have a clamp that is close in size and style. [url="http://"] [url="http://"] The metal it's made of is about 11/16" wide. Not a very heavy gauge, but strong enough to hold the plastic part and to clamp on the center chrome strip of the hood. A small nut and bolt run thru the area above the crimps. The clamp is about 1 1/8 inches tall from top to bottom. At the widest part of the < > it is about one inch. If you would like any further info, I will try to provide it. Looks close to the clamp shown in your picture. Except, maybe the clamp shown is two pieces that clamp onto the deflector as well as the hood strip.... like a sandwich.
dezeldoc
If you have a scanner scan it and e-mail it to him, he can use it as a pattern.
=PlyPals=
Hey Bob! Thanks for the quick reply! your clamp is indeed a close one, compared to the one I need... I'll hold my breath for a few days longer... waiting for someone with the correct clamp. If it doesn't show up, I'm going to try duplicating yours! Thanks! Kurt PS: If you lay it under the scanner, please don't press to hard on the scanner's lid!!
BobT-47P15
Kurt, I tried scanning the clip but the photo posted above is better. The picture is actually a bit larger than the real clamp....but shows better how it's made. I think I would try to measure just how long you think yours should be, then make your best educated guess. It's actual shape is shown pretty well in the picture in your ad. Kinda tough to get a good scan on curved item..... The clip is riveted to the plastic part.....can't remove it. =PlyPals=
Hey Bob, wow... thanks for the effort!! I'm also going to try to measure everything. Also posting a picture with measurements on it. (maybe other members one day will need those numbers too) Altough, I have to convert all... we're working with the metric-system. Thanks! =PlyPals=
I've tried my best. Took a photo of the clamp-part on the deflector. If the numbers on the inches aren't correct... I never trust my cellphone convertor again!
BobT-47P15
I think you will ultimately get the thing made. It's really a pretty simple gadget........just need to get the proper length and make the bends. I looked in a miscellaneous parts and pieces box last night, but did not see any extra clamp for one of these.
