John Mulders Posted January 19, 2007 Report Posted January 19, 2007 When I started with the rims and took the bad tires off I checked with a local shop whether they have correct tires (small stripe whitewall). They did not have them (this was I believe in October) but they expected new containers where they would be in as they were ordered. So I called today to make sure they have them and make an appointment. Talked to a lady and explained what I needed and that the tires would probably be in by now. Much to my surprise I was told that the tires were not available, there had not been a container for the last six month .... AARRGGGGHHHH So now I need to check other shops for the right size tires..... Ahwell, living on a small island has pros and cons.... John Quote
Normspeed Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 What a let down that must have been. Are your old tires still serviceable until you round up new ones? Quote
John Mulders Posted January 20, 2007 Author Report Posted January 20, 2007 Nope, all tires are dried out from the climate here. two are already torn and not safe to drive on. We will see tomorrow. John Quote
