claybill
previous thread asked if doing this swap would change or increase the comp, using the 218 head on a 230 engine. when the weather warms up above freezing i will do a cc check on stock 230 displacement. my last c.c. head displacement check showed a stock 218 head at approx 82 cc....and then measured an aluminum fenton head at approx 71 cc's. ..... interesting. i had the aluminum head on a 230 motor which soon crapped out (#6 crank bearings) but the head area was clean and untouched...no reason that the heads wont interchange..advice..comments, info, ? that is a 10% change in cc displacement... claybill
