1949P17BC
Any ideas on a replacement for 47 P15 door "rubber" sill plates. I know I can get them professionally done for about $500.00 but am wondering if there is home remedy for putting a new rubber surface on. =PlyPals=
Hey 1949P17BC I don't know for sure, but I found my replica rubber door sills (P15 4 door sedan) via eBay. djyaz [at] yahoo [dot] com My original door sill mats were completely rusted and the rubber was cracked. the repro's didn't had the metal part... and I had to glue them directly on my car. But the endresult looked "original"! Good luck
NatesSedan
I have seen the repros goig for around $260 on Ebay lately.(the ones without the metal) If you do a search for Sill Plates there was a thread awhile back that had a bunch of DIY ideas. I posted mine that I made a few weeks ago in a newer thread. I used cargo mats from autozone and aluminum strips. We used an original as a template.
