Hi all, I met another Old Mopar Man today in Selkirk Canada.

This Dude has a 50 or 51 Plymouth, and is a member of the Plymouth Club too.

He has been on our forum maybe a silent user not sure, as I forgot to ask him his handle.

So just thought I would mention this, as I have been a member on here a few years and never had the opportunity to meet any of our users. So this is good, gonna try and help him out, and hopefully he becomes a commited member of our forum............Fred

Fred, I'll be out sometime this spring or summer for a week or so visiting friends who have a cabin in Matlock...I'm assuming it's in driving range for a visit?

Not sure as yet on exact timing but we'll be figuring that out soon.

Will do, Fred. I won't have the Chrysler unless I win the 649, but I'd love to meet you and yours and see the old Chrysler.

I did drive my first 49 Chrysler out to Winnipeg in July of '72...supposed to be a 2 week holiday, but stayed for a year or so...I found out Calgary doesn't have real winters!!!! Man that's cold out there!!!

And I discovered we have tiny mutant 'skeeters as well!!!

Hey Pat, i thought Calgarys -30 was the same as Winnipegs, mind you -30 one day and 32 f the next in Calgary. Your weather is a little more like Minneapolis, and someimtes even warmer inwinter than the twin cities.

When you drive the 450 miles southeast to Minneapolis in the dead of winter there is generally a major difference, it could bu -25 in Winnipeg and 25 to 30 f in Minneapolis.

Winnipeg has super cold winters, but we are gerally blessed with nice hot summers, probably the nicest Summers on the Prairies

Fred, the difference is, we have almost zero humidity...you have a big huge puddle on your doorstep!!!

Our Chinooks are very dry as well, the Rocks sweep the moisture out as the air comes over.

I had a rude awakening that year!!!

I remember standing in the back of a delivery truck on Portage and Main by the Richardson Building one fine October morning frozen to the bone...and it was just fall!!!!

Very True it is much more humid here because of the Lakes, I also remember being in Calgary one July, it was about 85 in Winnipeg, it was Jacket weather In Calgary the next night. I thought, hope there summer isn't always this cool.............LOL:D
