I've had ALOT of luck using Plymouth parts for just about everything. I know the motors and body stuff are different (as you might imagine). I'd familiarize myself with the existing box or take a photo then take a trip to the parts yard for a match. I'm betting any similar year Plymouth or Dodge is going to work.

But I'm a noob...I could be wrong but it's still a good place to start.

If you decide to check a Plymouth for fit, measure the length of the shaft from the box up to the steering wheel. I think there is a difference in length in the Plymouths of 46-48 from Dodge D24, DeSoto, Chrysler, etc.I know you are looking for 50 but it would be good to check and let us know how you make out. Chrysler/DeSoto steering systems are completely different from the Plymouths in those years. The Chrysler/DeSoto box sits atop the frame rail and the Plymouths is inboard of the frame rail.

49-54 Manual steering boxes for Chrysler and DeSoto are the same as are most of the big Dodges, but the Plymouths and some of the small Dodges are different.
