Rodney Bullock Posted March 21, 2009 Report Posted March 21, 2009 I got my radio back yesterday. This radio is for my 1941 Studebaker. I was coming home in it back in Feb when it just went out:mad: I packed it up and sent it to a guy in PA. He told me that the volume control was bad so he replaced it. I installed it this morning and ...nothing:( I was down the country and needed to rake some leaves. I call Joe because I wanted to see his machine. I started trying to fix it, bought a new antenna and installed it. nothing. I fired up the Plymouth drove it around then went back to working on the radio. I called the guy and started to let him have it, you so and so blah, blah, blah. Then thought let him walk me though this I might have missed something. He asked if the antenna was pluged in I said "yeah" of course. I had the antenna pluged into the RCA jack...Pluged it into the antenna hole and radio started to play. Oh boy all this frustration. Took a ride over to Joe Flanagan's however I missed him. Took the exit to Rt 1 for the Krispy Kream and got a dozen dounuts:D oh boy, they were so happy to see the car I think I got 18 dounuts and ate 6 there. After the second one I forgot all about my misadventure and I wasen't mad no more either:rolleyes: mmmm good mmm. Quote
Joe Flanagan Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 Rodney, Sorry I missed you. I had your chair set up in the driveway and everything. And next time, go to Krispy Kreme first and then come to my house. Quote
aero3113 Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 All the Krispy Kreme's closed down around here Quote
Don Coatney Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 All the Krispy Kreme's closed down around here I believe there is a relationship between the number of Krispy Kreeme's and the number of law enforcement officers in a given area:D Quote
Joe Flanagan Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 I'm sure there's a study out there somewhere. Up in New England, it's Dunkin Donuts. There was an incident in my home town some years ago where a cop got coffee at a Dunkin Donuts and the Brazilian immigrants working there peed in his beverage. He figured it out pretty quickly and went storming in there. In the end, two guys got deported. Quote
Don Coatney Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 I am in Boston as I write this. The guys I am working with get morning coffee at the South Station Dunkin Donut house. Quote
Joe Flanagan Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 In New England, Dunkin Donuts is a food group. South Station, huh? You're really in Boston. Quote
