unkahay2 Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 Can anyone tell me how to replace the lock on a trunk handle.. It's on a D24 1947 dodge sedan. I don't have a key and the locksmiths can't seem to get it keyed. Thanks for any help Quote
JerseyHarold Posted November 17, 2008 Report Posted November 17, 2008 A good locksmith should be able to make a key by 'impressioning ' the cylinder without even taking it apart. If not, you can have the locksmith pick the lock to the open position, then with the cylinder turned you poke a small pointed object into the hole in the handle (look for it...it's there!) and the cylinder pulls out. Then disassemble and re-key. Quote
