howdy, the 96 and newer ford explorer 8.8 is your best bet, it is 59.75 inches wide, the exact size of your rear, it also has disc brakes standard, 5 lugs, and just as strong as a ford 9 inch, its a bigger diameter tube than your rear, but that means nothing, because your changing the spring perches anyway, and most of them are 355's, but check to make sure before you buy it, they have a different style yoke, but spicer makes a bolt on kit that changes it to the old style
