Plymouth brake emblem (Paint)

Actually, I've never painted mine. The paint had worn off my original one and I liked it better without paint. I then bought a rechromed one and that one had the letters painted on it when I got it. I bought mine from Tony Urwin when he was into selling rechromed parts. I think when he painted them he first scuffed the surface with steel wool just a little. Then he just used a small artist brush to paint the letters. Either mask off the letters or do it freehand if you have a steady hand.

I used a red Testors paint pen last time I re-did mine.

Have also used the small jar of Testors model paint & a brush.

It seems none of the repaints will hold up as long as the

original.

There is also red on that ship ornament on the front of the hood and

between the "special deluxe" letters on the back edge of the front

fenders. Also the lettering and ship on the hubcaps is red.......but

not the ring around them.
