Well this thread has had 231 views 16 responses and just more that 30 committed orders. Orders are from the usual subjects. Is there any more support for this idea, as I don;t want to be sitting on 160 of these.

Greg,

I'm not so sure I'd put out the money for 250 of them unless I had firm commitments for all of them. Several years ago when I ask how many people wanted to buy the cast aluminum P15-D24 Owners Club License Plate toppers about 40 or 50 people on the forum, out of about 100 back then said they wanted one. So........I worked out a price with the place making them. End cost was only about $30 to $35 depending on shipping addresses and I wasn't making anything on those either. I had to order at least 10 at a time to get that price. After letting everyone know about they could order, only about 12 or 15 people actually ordered one. So....there was only one order that was ever placed for those. If I had ordered all 40 or 50 I'd have a good collection of them still sitting around collecting dust, plus I would have put all that money out for nothing. As it was I had already told the place we would be buying at least 40 or 50 of them to get the best price, which we never did. Made me look like I just told the guy that to get the price lowered. So.............in reality you probably need more commitments than the amount of the minimum order to make sure you aren't stuck with a bunch of them.

This was the License Plate Topper. Before a bunch of you jump on me and say you wouldn't do that. I didn't mean to say you would, but people do change their minds about things.
