Deano (GB) Posted August 19, 2008 Report Posted August 19, 2008 I've just replaced the handbrake band complete with new linings from Roberts Auto Parts on my P15, and noticed a small difference in the drillings on the new part. The old core that I sent back to roberts had three holes in the lower 'toe' part of the band and one in the top , the new part has three holes in the top and one in the bottom. At first I thought I may have installed it the wrong way round, but the anchor bracket location makes that impossible. This new part now makes the top guide bolt locate quite a bit higher, I cant see that it's a problem, it just means that the adjustment on the top part of the band is further up:confused: , it seem's to be operating all o.k., I had to back all of the adjuster bolts right the way off because of the thickness of the new linings. Just wondered if any of you guys had experienced anything similar and if it had caused any problems . Quote
