krodaddy Posted August 19, 2008 Report Posted August 19, 2008 I'm trying to decide on a color for the 52 cranbrook. Anyone here have a pic of a Plymouth painted Kitchener Green, or Nile Green? Thanks, Barry Quote
JerseyHarold Posted August 19, 2008 Report Posted August 19, 2008 How about Lido Green Poly (an original '52 color)? Or if you want to go into the blue family, try Belmont Blue, another original color for the 1952 Plymouth. I had two Belmont Blue Cranbrooks and still regret not buying a beautiful Lido Green one years ago. There are color chips for all makes/models posted at: www.autocolorlibrary.com UPDATE: I just went to the link above and the color resolution on the '52 Plymouth colors isn't all that good. Here's a link to an eBay auction for a Cranbrook that's 'almost' Belmont Blue. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1952-Plymouth-Cranbrook-Blue_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ39Q3a1Q7c66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a13Q7c240Q3a1318QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem260272698001QQitemZ260272698001 This car was originally Belmont Blue and was repainted by Maaco to the closest color they had at the time (mid-1980's). I know that because it used to be my car, and I sold it nearly 20 years ago! Quote
Johnny S Posted August 19, 2008 Report Posted August 19, 2008 Try this link .... we were talking about this some time back with Joe Flanagan... http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/showthread.php?t=8022&highlight=kitchener Quote
Arkansawer Posted August 19, 2008 Report Posted August 19, 2008 Im gonna paint my 52 a mopar muscle color. Im leaning towards plum crazy. You could always go with panther pink with a black roof. That would be pretty sweet. Or the sublime. Quote
Lou Earle Posted August 19, 2008 Report Posted August 19, 2008 Me I went with bad ass red from car quest- truck fleet metallic color- can get exact color if u want it lou Quote
krodaddy Posted August 21, 2008 Author Report Posted August 21, 2008 Thanks for the info. Lou, I like the red, but I think I'm going with the Kitchener green. Sure would like to see more pics of your cars. Any colors accepted. Barry Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted August 22, 2008 Report Posted August 22, 2008 I don't know the name of this shade of green, but I like it. This car was at the Nashville Goodguys show in '06. Quote
48mirage Posted August 22, 2008 Report Posted August 22, 2008 When I bought my D30 I was also looking at a 61 Rambler with a flathead. It had been painted what I would call panther pink. The only thing missing were some paw prints. Quote
