Anyone have problems with steering play? My 51 Plymouth has new, correct bearings & race. If you are brave enough to get your steering box out of the car, you need the correct bearings. I found Rxxx Auto to have the parts, but the bearings were not fitting , the seals were ok. So i looked up in my Chilton parts manual, got the correct bearing numbers, searched eBay, found the correct bearings & race. The box takes two bearings (upper - lower) - both are the same number -> 669077. (you will need 2) The bottom race # TIMKIN 6CE, will be worn as it takes the full load weight of the shaft & steering wheel. The top race is integral with the shaft. Rock Auto has the correct seals, not correct bearing. This cross references with Ford tractor 1939 to 1964. Ford # 683571-A2 for the bearing, not for the race.

Hello All, In my never-ending pursuit to make my 1946 Plymouth Deluxe Club Coupe as original as possible, I am looking for information on what came with the car new. Specifically, What did the 1946 owners manuals and service books look like? Was there a tool kit that came with the car? Any accessories (ice scrapers, extra parts, pamphlets, etc)? Was there a difference in what a Deluxe and Special Deluxe came with? Was there a difference between 46, 47, and 48? Thanks in advance, and happy motoring, J.P.G.

Hello all, Ken here, brand new member to your group. Not new to Mopar, but BRAND new to the Windsor universe. Could use some help in the areas of restoration, parts, "what-to-do, what-not-to-do", etc...... I'm basically an "original" kind of guy, so as close to stock as possible is my preferred method. Nothing against modernizing, I just like the cars the way they came. Anyway, if anyone can tell me more about them, I'd appreciate it. Please see attached photos. Car needs a complete interior. New paint, re-chrome most trim, etc. Runs, drives. thanks! ken
