Looking for simple dimensioned drawing for intake/exhaust manifold mounting stud spacing. Had to remove the manifolds to replace a bad gasket and 2 studs broke off just inside the block. Was planning to make a guide plate to bolt to the side of the block to guide drilling out the broken studs. Any other advice regarding this disaster would be welcome, as well. I thank you in advance.

Does anyone have a picture of Heat riser spring installed correctly? Just how much tension on spring in the relaxed position ? Want to make sure I get this right. Flat head six, 217 cu in. Gasket have been replaced and not quite sure if I need to replace the spring and weight? Thanks.

All, Pulled the engine on the '47 D-24 Deluxe and the exhaust manifold is cracked pretty good. I'm taking it to a welding shop to see what they can do, but despite the posts and others I've spoken to saying a welded manifold "can" work just fine, the "can" part is worrisome. Called around an a refurbished manifold is expensive ~$500. Wondering if anyone makes headers instead or has a lead on getting hands on a new or good condition manifold or a place who makes headers. Thanks.

Hi Everyone, I just bought a 1952 Dodge B3C pickup. It has a crack all the way through the exhaust manifold and I would like to replace it. Will the one in this eBay auction work? The numbers are almost the same and it looks pretty identical to me. The number on the exhaust manifold is 854429-5 and the one in the auction is 854429-8. Can someone with more experience give me a hand? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Intake-Exhaust-Manifold-1949-1954-Plymouth-Dodge-Mopar-used-1948-1947-1946-/301093388055?pt=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item461a907f17&vxp=mtr#ht_832wt_1362 Thanks

Hi, I am new to this stuff. Just bought a 1951 B3b. I am learning about this thing slowly, but found something I couldn't figure out. There is a valve of some sort in my front intake manifold. The valve is spring loaded, and there is a lever on it that looks like it might be moved with a cable of some sort. It is not the heat riser, 'cause it is just below it on the exhaust manifold. I don't have a clue.
