Okay boys and girls, as promised I'm starting a build thread on the Dodge Red Ram Hemi. I started on the project about 13 years ago and, as has happened before, got side-tracked. For several years prior I thunk a Baby Hemi would be cool even 'tho I didn't have a car to put it in. Managed to pick up a few engines real cheap,....like the most I ever spend was $300.00 for a D-500. Most folks wanted a Chrysler. So I got this stash of stuff and started buying parts and doing modifications and then,.... got the distractions. Now I'm back on track and enjoying discovering where I left off and finding all the parts that are suddenly cool. The engine is the biggest of the Red Rams at 325 cu. in. Stock it had 9.2:1, a pretty aggressive cam and a 4 bbl. Back in 2001, I did porting and polishing, block deburring, polished the rods and had the rotating assembly balanced. Also made my own .09 copper exhaust gaskets for the headers I hope to build some day. - - - - - Than all went quiet with the Hemi for about 12-13 years

Okay my fellow restorers. I want to let everyone know that Craig Studnick from Mobile Parts is not someone I would do business with. He and some other guy own a company named Mobile Parts out of West Hempstead NY. I ordered a set of drums for my 49 Wayfarer and when they got here they didn't fit. Told him I would modify the rears to fit the hub and send him an invoice for the modi and send the fronts back because those were the wrong size as well. He reluctantly agreed. He told me he was going to be out of town at some shows and to get back with him later. Well later is right. After several calls over several weeks he answers the phone today and says " I thought you were going to be a man and just go away". This guy is something else. STAY AWAY. Terry Hancock
