About Me
I garden; I love old cars and old movies. And I love to play bridge.
My Mopars: four 1942 DeSotos--one completely restored Custom Club coupe, one DeLuxe 2-door sedan, another Custom Club Coupe--waiting to be restored (this one will have a slightly souped-up 236ci flathead), and a 4-door parts car that we will get to later.
Three 1951 Chrysler Imperials--two running 2-door hard-tops, and one 1951 Chrysler Imperial convertible betting a complete frame-off restoration. Camilla Cream (her name) is about 85% done. She already has all of her drive-train restored, all of the suspension restored, and a stunning professional paint job. Still left to do: install the dash and all of the gauges, restore rest of the interior, and, finally, give her a new canvass top.
Three 1956 Chrysler Imperial 4-door Southamptons, one is a frame-off restoration, another is a near-perfect 55,000 mile car. And one 1956 Imperial sedan. Frame-on restoration.
Non-Mopars: four 1949 Cadillacs, all professionally restored: Lily (a Fleetwood), Celeste (a convertible), and Buttercup (one of the first Coupe-DeVilles). I also have one more Coupe-DeVille waiting to be restored. Also: The Emerald Princess--a 1952 Fleetwood with 9,000 original miles. And Ellie--a 1958 Eldorado Brougham. She runs well, still has her original pretty-good interior, and her original (somewhat faded) black paint.
