So after much todo about this transmission that seemed to be a mystery, with he help of Eric Bannerman identifying my trucks origins via the frame stamp seems my truck started it's life out as a part of a US Military order of Dodge trucks. 1934 KH-31-USA After doing a little research I came across this forum https://forums.g503.com/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=272388 showing the restoration of a KH-31. In this forum I noticed two things. the transmission was the same and the drivers side front fender spare tire was also the same. It was confirmed for me that civilian 1.5 ton truck all have their spare tire mounted in the back underneath the truck. after a little searching around I found the green paint behind my bench seat. The truck is currently painted red. I was told that that was the original color. Well now what else was I told that was not in line with reality. All in all this has been fun finding out more about this little big red truck. Hope that opens more doors for someone out there about their truck. The truck runs great, drips oil constantly, so guess I need to break down and get new gaskets and seals. But this summer the drivers window stopped working found out it has a broken gear in the regulator. Does the fact that it has suicide doors mean that it will have a different style regulator than standard doors? And anyone have a suggestion for where to find a replacement regulator? Thanks

With this being a 37OD with out the lock out cable does anyone have information about the shifting procedure? This is my biggest concern if I take the time to put it in and can't figure out how to safely manage it on the road, what good is it to me? I also wouldn't mind finding more info for repairing the current T-9 configuration to see what it has to offer.

So I acquired a T86-1 with an R6-1 attached. Said to be an overdrive. However it has no lock out solenoid, no lock out cable lever. Wondering if this could be the model that was engaged by just letting off the gas when driving at 35mph? Maybe just before they added the lock out lever. I have read the article on overdrives, and it looks very similar to the 1938 od pictured. Really would like to find out some more info, hoping you all might point me in the right direction. Thank you.

While I am researching this transmission combination (Warner T-9 1L, connected to a Warner Muncie L1-1gearbox) I am wondering if it is possible to rearrange the differential gears? The truck is a 1935 Dodge Brothers 1 1/2 ton dually. Really don't want to change out the differential for a different one and then have to get adapters so I can keep the stalk rims. (Already powder coated). After spinning the rear tires I calculated the differential gears are 5.4. Would like to go up to at least 4.10 I have read of guys swapping out the same vintage gears if they have the right combo to fit in the housing. Any guidance on this? Are there swappable parts out there?

Hey also if anyone knows what the gear ratio should be on this truck? 1935 Dually or if there would be numbers on the differential that would give the ratio?

Unfortunately it is not hooked up at all. No Linkage and a piece of pipe has been crimped around the slide bar preventing it from shifting.

Can you give me your reference for this information so I can putt in the trucks log books? Thanks

Hello all, New in this neck of the woods. I just bought a 1935 Dodge Brothers 1 1/2 ton truck (dually). With a flathead 6 and a 4 speed. not sure if it is all stalk parts. Was claimed to be. I am having a difficult time finding info. First the engine numbers: PI8*235432* transmission numbers: (transmission seems to be two parts the back half seems to have it's ability to engage locked in one position.) Warner Gear Co. T9-1L connected to: Warner Gear Co. Muncie L1 I use the truck for my business and most of the time doing 40 mph is fine but ever now and then I need to get on the main road an I would like to be able to get the truck up to 55 or 60. I am wonder what this combination is? And how to repair it (manuals??) if I can find parts for the Muncie part. The T9 works fine. Also wondering if it is possible to find a higher ring and pinion for the differential so that I don't need to change the whole back end. Lot of questions about the new toy. Thanks for any info or directions on any of these questions.

Update on those transmission number. After some wire brushing it says: T9 - 1L
