Its a 318 from a 75 van I'm keeping the stock suspension and brakes but they will be rebuilt Since ill be using the brake booster and using the stock and the vans master cylinder I'm not worried about stopping Ill be putting new gears in the rear if I don't just weld the rear Only if the subframe from the van was the same measurements I'd use it...cause I don't wanna full with making a custom disk b rake kit Cause I refuse to do a m2 front end on this car

  3. the suspension is off the chassis im trying to get the bolts out cause im going to sand blast everyting and then rebuild everything

  5. ok so im getting a free dana 60(maybe a 70) from a 1975 dodge b300 van from what i can tell its a free floating system and it appears to be the same width as my rear end now i just have to figure out how to make it work with the transmission:confused: also i can have the running 318 and 727 out of the van if i want it...i might just pull it and garage it fr a possible later project

  10. yeah they sell em individually but as far as its looking the whole kit is cheaper

  13. sheesh i must be the youngen here? well im unemployeed but i was a bicycle mechanic i am a volunteer firefighter and in EMT school right now hopefully ill be joining a paid fire department soon

  15. i dont have an overdrive and i might be changing my transmission due to ease of finding a new shifter
  16. i pulled my control arms off today and i going to need to replace all the bushings and rubber so if anyone has part #'s and or know what will fit thats new let em know please im also looking for bushing for my sway bar as far as the rears concerned im going to be changing it im looking at using one from a 75 dodge van because its a dana 60:D but im not of the length im also looking at changing transmissions so if someone has suggestions on that lemme know

  19. well ive got some questions and they dont pertain to my other posts so i figured id make a new thread whom if anyone makes a 3 speed shifter floor conversion for our cars? what wheels will fit on our cars? anyone here have a custom suspension set up? ive got other questions...i just dont remember em right now haha but if anyone has some old school hot rod tricks lemme hear em!
  20. Well the place ill be taking my shoes to will be charging me 15 a shoe so I'm pretty happy about that
  21. ok tomorrow i will find out if i will have new shoes on the way but until then heres some more questions to ponder: has anyone added a brake booster? gone to a gm master cylinder and modified the pedal linkage? where can i get new bushings and tie rod ends? and whats the best degreaser thatll basically make dirt fall off?

  25. so i got the front drums off today and my driver side literally fell apart in my hands so im looking for some new shoes for the whole car if anyone knows where i can buy new ones or can help me find a place that relines them local to me thatd be awesome
