Got up at 5am, and went to work. Got back home around 10 and slept til 1:30, i was running on about 3 hrs of sleep. Then i spent some time with the wife before she went to work, put my Bronco up for sale. And then watched football and did laundry and took care of the dogs all afternoon.

Yeah JB Weld works great. Get some J.B weld and find out where its leaking and then fill in the small hole. They also have JB Marine or something like that, it works inside water and stuff and swells up to fill in the hole better.

Well sunday i went out and started in and now all of the carpet is out of the car and all of the seats. Floors arent as bad as i was thinking, but it looks like its rotted out right where the front seat was. Now once i clean all of the crud and scrape everything off that is stuck to the floors then it may be different but never know. Where do yall get stuff for the flathead 6s, as far as dual carb intakes and the different heads and stuff?
-
Bareknuckles, i have got to say that has turned out to be a very sexy ride. If you dont mind me asking, how much did you take out of it? Was it different in the back than front or same all around?
-
Yeah im gonna go the little at a time route and get some car patience. BloodyKnuckles, the chopped 52 that you showed me turned it all around for me. Thanks for that picture. On another site i was shown that exact same car, but unchopped all the way to chopped. Now i see my car in a totally different light, and now shes talking to me. Thanks again.

Thanks for the responses. Yeah that chopped 51 looks sweet. Didnt think it would look that sweet, but it looks pretty mean like that. The slowness of it and the no shop is what has really been getting me down and stuff.

As some of you may remember i have a 52 plymouth 2 door sedan. I havent done much to it yet, 1. being cause i dont have a shop and working out in the heat isnt my cup of tea. But im also losing motivation, the car isnt exactly what i want but its what i can afford at the moment. Got the car for 100 dollars with the floors being the only thing rusted out. Now i want to chop the top and make it pretty much into a led sled but i need motivation. Can anyone find me some pics of a 51 or 52 plymouth 2 door sedan thats been chopped and rat rodded or hot rodded out. All the pics that i have seen are restored and stock. Im on the edge of selling this one and finding something else. I found a 53 dodge town panel truck, but it needs alot more work than the plymouth that i have now. Id like to have an A sedan, but everyone that i find is way out of my price range. So need motivation pics or just motivation words to get me going or to "lead" me in the right direction. Torrey

Im gonna paint my 52 a mopar muscle color. Im leaning towards plum crazy. You could always go with panther pink with a black roof. That would be pretty sweet. Or the sublime.

So can i get the rotor assembly and the latch at any auto place, or is there a place online thats not outrageous? It would make sense that the right rear would work on the front driver, but im like youd id want to see for myself. Visually, yeah it would work without a problem.
-
Ok i was thinking the rotor will move with the handle, that clears that up. The rotor moves pretty easily with or without touching the handle. The catch spring on the latch doesnt seem to be as thick as the one in the pic. Ill try and get out there in the daytime and take a picture of it if thatll help. But the latch looks to be about half as thick as the picture.
-
Alright, i think i may have figured out half the problem. The part in the above picture that is circled on the latch, mine is either broke and half gone or completely gone. Now another thing, is the little rotor doesnt move when the handles (inner or outer) are pulled or turned, on either door. Whats missing or broke that will cause the rotor to not turn with the handles? And what is a good site to get parts, that arent completely outrageous.
-
Yeah that little rotor turns freely by hand, but doesnt turn at all on either door by any handle. On the door jam (B pillar) i have a flat block, is that the latch? How is the rotor on the door suppose to catch that flat block?
-
I did a search and couldnt find what i was looking for. How do the door latches work on a P23? I can get the doors to close, although they arent completely flush but are pretty close, but the latch wont catch. After i shut the door i can just pull on the handle and itll open, on both doors. With the door open and i turn the handle, i dont even see anything move. Can anyone explain this latch system to me? Also, is there way to get a picture of the latch on the door, and the catch on the door jam so i can make sure im not missing anything. The drivers side handle droops, would that have anything to do with it or not? Thanks in advance Torrey Told yall id be asking ALOT of questions.

Gorgeous. What color is your interior? Whats funny is thats the exact wheels im looking at as well. Have always loved the smoothies. Little lighter purple than i had imagined, but if thats plum crazy then thats what itll be. Was thinking the 70 cudas were a little darker, but maybe im just blind.
