  2. Anyone know where to find reproduction tail lights that fit a 1952 b4b pickup . Thanks Milo
  3. Thanks for the information. Does anyone know if there are any illustrations or pictures of the proper way to attach the bed to the frame? We are trying to rebuild the bed in the original factory method. When we bought the truck it had the wood replaced with a steel sheet with the sides welded to the steel sheet. We have successfully removed the sides of the bed and the front panel of the bed from the steel sheet. However, I do not know if the sides or the front panel are still in there original configuration. I would like to determine if the sides and the front are correct. I would also like to determine the correct manner for assemblying the bed on the truck frame. Any help with this would be very appreciated.
  4. Is there a schematic somewhere showing the mounting of the bed to the frame supports ? Or does someone have pictures, Thanks Milo
  5. We Are at the part of having the wood and bed but need a picture or where to find a schematic on:confused: the frame to bed rail supports . We can get the bed rail supports but need to see the Specs on mounting etc. All the repair manuals seem to be missing this data . Any help would be appreciated . Thanks Milo in Georgia . 53 Dodge B4b 1/2 ton
  6. Found out the truck we have 53 b4b-108 has a Plymouth 52 218ci in it and looks like it will need to be rebuilt . If anyone has a good one for sale within 300 miles or so of Macon Ga . Let me know or if you know of a knowledgeable rebuilder in this area I would appreciate the contact . I have spoken to Reg but he being in Cailf is to far to go but thanks for all your help . Milo
  7. The exhaust manifold on my 53 b4b-108 came off in piceses and all the flappers inside were frozen closed. Then checked the Model number and find out the Engine is a 218 ci but from a 1952 Plymouth car 6cyl. Does anyone know if there is a more modern manifold that will fit these engines ? Something other then the down draft that is on there now ?
  8. I have a 53 1/2 ton pickup b1b and the door hinge pins appear to look like a pin / bolt as there is threads and a nut on the lower end of both the top and bottom hinge . Can these be tapped with a hammer etc to remove the door without removing the complete hings on the door ? I tried lightly but my did not move and before I get harder with the hammer I wanted some advise at removing the doors. Also I have only a rod coming through the floor but no accelerator pedal, did the pedal bolt to the floor and was there a spring behind the pedal and the floor ? Thanks Milo
  9. Hi I have a 53 b4b pickup and after taking off the rear fenders I have tried locally to find the flat head bolts that were used to hold them on ? Also I see up on the back of the front fendor between it and the cowl is a short piece of molding that fills that gap , I have not found it or did not know what to ask for when speaking to Steel rubber products ? One last question , I am guessing that I will need to replace some or all of the leaf springs , is there a general replacement model used that anyone is aware of ? Thanks Milo in Ga.
  10. Thanks for the info , I check pricing and Steele is about $225 higher then Roberts . That makes a tough decision for the budget minded .
  11. 1953 b4b pick up looking for recommendations and where to buy window and door molding ? Could not find it under search ? Also any Ga. owners out there with similar trucks ? Iam in the Warner Robins GA. Thanks Milo

  13. Where is the vin number located on a 53 b4b model ?
  14. We have a 53 b-108 and it leens to the right side ? Would the fix be new leaf springs front and rear and are there new stock out there that can replace them ? Will be getting started on the restoration soon and this was the first thing noticeable as the truck stands on a flat surface . Thanks Milo in GA.
