  1. Hey guys, I'm looking at putting an S10 T5 in my 1953 Dodge meadowbrook using the adapter from Russell's. Problem is, my car is a fluid drive. Still the 3 speed on the column but does have the hydraulic coupler. Doesn't have the auto-shifting fanciness though. Anyway, from what I understand the input shafts are different and I need a conventional flywheel and pressure plate for the adapter kit to work. Are the bellhousings the same, or do I need to track down a bellhousing from a non-fluid drive conventional 3 speed manual car? If so, what years/models am I looking for? Thanks! pic of my ride attached because what good is a post without pictures?
