Lowering the rear end with 2" blocks and new u bolts.

62 Wisconsin winters, now making her home in Texas.
  4. From the album: 1951 Windsor

Gave her new brake lines, wheel mast cylinders & main master cylinder, brake shoes/pads, turned the drums, greased every zirt, cleaned and repacked the bearings, flushed the rear end, new shocks, and new tubes & tires. Lowering the rear end 2" and cutting the front springs down to lower it 2" as well. Under the hood is next. I can rough up the flames a bit more with my belt buckle while Im doing the engine work. Will keep her stock for now except for the exhaust. Going to put on a muffler with a little bit of grumble and then split off to Lake Pipes. Ive got another straight 6 sitting here that may just get all the goods for a little more HP and noise to go in her later. Right now I just want to get her back on the road.
  5. From the album: 1951 Windsor

Not done with the flames. A little more to add on the front end and then sanding them all down to make them look old. Another couple of rattle can clear and she will be done. My $78.00 paint job (plus what ever sand paper I use).

First time I saw this car. Only parts missing were the cig lighter and the jack. No body damage and only 63k original miles. My rusty gold nugget.
  7. From the album: 1951 Windsor

Car is too far gone for a restoration. This is a "preservation" and in "mechanically in great condition" project. We are also going to have a little rat rod fun with her while we are at it.
