For a lack of money, maybe a model from a pick-a-part? LOL!

I am planning on converting my old 6v to a 12v system. Is there a small or mini alternator that any of you have used that works in very tight areas? I have a GM style one wire but its too big with the mods I have made on this Pilot House truck. I would prefer a one wire type set-up. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Brian

That's a killer truck!

I like this picture but its really hard to see much of the truck. It looks like Texaco stars on the door and their script across the upper bed panels. Brian

That's really cool!

I am planning on trying to make a Texaco tribute truck(replica of a service station truck) out of a 53 B-4 that I own. Has anyone ever done this and if so how did it go? Any Picts? Mine is red and I thought about a Coke truck but I am leaning more towards a Texaco logo's. Brian

Wow that's just too cool to part out; however, if you do, I need a spare carrier. What an awesome find! Brian

Stay away from Roberts. My molding did not fit right. I was told by my glass man that it was off by 3/4 inch from the bottom. I had to get new glass cut and hope that it streches enough or new rubber. I would try Steele Rubber. I was almost two years after I bought the gaskets that I tried to have them installed. I did not try to contact Roberts since I had long ago lost my receipt. He might have made it right with me I dont really know. Brian

This is mine. Its a 1950 Oliver Row Crop 66. I have won several "Best Of The Show" trophys with it. Brian

I followed a link I found and it had a really cool Pilot House roll back. It also had Texaco logos on the side. Has anyone here ever did a tribute truck?

Good evening everyone! After an almost two year absence ( my wife gave birth to twins on 4-30-10- I ve been very Pre occupied with them and working full time) I was finally to get back to my 53 b-4. I ordered a windshield gasket set from Roberts about two years ago. Today, I have a glass company come our to install the windshield. The rubber is too small and has a gap of about 1/2 inch around the horizontal ends. I don't know what to do except get rubber and more glass cut. My questions is this, has anyone used a company or a brand of rubber that they were happy with? It's been too long to reasonably expect Roberts to return it, but has anyone else has a similar problem? Brian

I guess I was leaning towards a new one but I just needed to sound off to you guys first. Thanks!

I am in the middle of freshing up a 71 5.2. I found a small hole in the skirt. Its not all the way through, but its there. Should I replace this piston? If a get just one single piston, because it a little different, will it make other things out of balance?
