  1. its not the length of the bulb but the threads that are to big. The one that was in the engine did not have a gland nut and threaded right in. the one attached to the gauge is a larger thread and will not thread. I will see if i can find a reducer that may work.
  2. i have a bit of a size issue with my bulb. it appears that someone may have put a new gauge in the truck but the bulb that it has is larger then the one that was in the head. the new bulb is a tight fit into the thread in the head making for no room for the nut. any ideas dave
  3. hey rob i have a 1950 1 ton and im located just north of barrie. id love to have a look at your truck and talk to some other pilot house guys. feel free to shoot my an email higgsink@hotmail.com

  5. i may have found my problem solver. i have found a donor 1976 dodge f30 rv. it has a dana 70 dually rear end and heavy disc brakes in the front. i will be cutting it all out friday.
  6. the hole is 3" long at the inside corner. Any know of a site that has new drums
  7. Well i took my wheels off today and it looks like the last owner was not a fan of brake pads. I was hoping to get it going with drums as i can get new shoes, but the drums are not going to be usable due to the holes in them. Looks like i will have to go disc, what have otheres done on the one tons. Id like to keep it a dually on the back and a bit heavier on the front. thanks dave
  8. Bach did you go with the 5 bolt or keep 6. did you have to do any other mods to the kit to get it to fit. thanks dave
  9. Thank you for the fast replies. rusty hope is just the one i was looking for. As for the coil that is just the pic i needed, the only difference i see is my wire holder is red.
  10. First off id like the thank you guys for this great site, Iv been reading non stop since i bought my truck DF2-126 (B2D) in the fall. I plan to use the truck as a daily driver to get to and from work in style. One upgrade i feel is a must is front disc brakes, i did read a thread about a month back about this and now im having trouble finding it. What im looking for is the site of the gentleman on this site that sells them. Next question i have is in regards to my distributor, i have the 1A0 model with no vacuums. when taking it apart for a tune up and paint job i broke one of the springs. Where can a new one be had? Last question is a request for some pictures of how you have your coil set up, i bought a new one but my old one had a black plastic clamp on the top that says Ford so id like to ditch that. thanks again for the help. dave
