  1. hi, i´m from germany too. living near frankfurt/main. you may have a look here . i documented the last 25 years of my P15 in a short film. at 0:44 you´ll see the body lifting. if you need some rubber parts for rear window, trunk, etc. i can give provide you with an address in germany. it´s way cheaper then ordering in the US. send PM if you have any questons. viel erfolg, thomas
  2. i only have a pdf document. i can not buy the magazine here in germany and i think its not legal to post the pdf...
  3. the ´48 and my band hank cash are featured in the latest rebel rodz issue
  4. i love this pic of my doughter mathilda. wild ride with the ´48 :-)
  5. @rtlsnakedaddy: HA! nearly the same nick and a bass player too. that´s cool. i am building doublebasses and sell them. of course i have a real case. but it looks better without a case (for pics only). what kind of music are you playing? im in a johnny cash/hank williams/rockabilly band called "HANK CASH" @ bob: it fits inside the car! looks funny. i will make a pic. but as you said, the old bands always had the basses on the roof. i have a old wooden case too but it´s very heavy.
  6. 218 engine with K&N air cleaner and cherry bomb muffler. the chrome is something like this:http://www.ebay.com/itm/5M-X-20MM-Silver-Chrome-Trim-Strip-Rim-For-Grille-Fender-Mirror-Rear-Trunk-12-/150927555178?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2323fbba6a&vxp=mtr
  7. http://www.flickr.com/photos/86588216@N06/8116640369/ who needs a V8? :-)
  8. yes. i made the armrests. it took only 15 minutes and it´s easy to do. two pieces of wood. i can mail you detailed pics if you want. i don´t know anything about the visor. bought it from forum member highpockets. it is old and has a serial number stamped on it, but no manufakturer mark. the spots are original unity spotlights. i also did not want to cut holes in the car, but do not like the dummy spots. so, i´ve cut the handle of the spotlights and use them as dummies. the seats and headliner are made by a professional upholstery company. the seats are black leather, the headliner is grey. the engine is original except for the color. it is red. the only mod is an open K&K air cleaner originally made for a PT Cruiser. choke and hand throttle are not installed. i can not decide if the exterior color will be a flat grey or shiny black. the car was frame off restored some years ago (not by me). here´s a pic of the engine:
  9. thank you guys. i think i will keep the chrome. here´s a better pic: i also made new interior. look at my arm rests :-) the blue parts will be painted red. the actual color of the car is a dark metallic grey. it goes to the painter next month. i am not a hot rodder but i like working on the car. i´m a fan of mild customizing too, but i take care that every modification is redoable and that it is possible to go back to a nearly original condition. respect to the old cars is an important thing...
  10. thanks. the chrome is 1" self adhesive trim.
  11. from Agape. they fit very well. picked them up from the customs office today, painted them and put them on. i am not shure about the additional chrome. maybe i will remove it.
  12. one of the nicest cars ever. maybe a little overpriced (for me): http://www.ebay.de/itm/310426460097?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
  13. wife and doughter have left the building..too much time on my hands :-)
  14. i could not find any informations for RG-73. engine seems to be replaced by chrysler. please look at the pics. on the left side: tag on firewall: head: head front: thank you
  15. looks a little bit like mine. after one year work it´s driving and i love it. btw. many thanks to some forummembers who shipped parts to germany. thank you guys! i made the additional chrome molds from universal "stripes" (?) bought them on ebay.
  16. some outtakes from a shooting last week with hot rod and kustom kulture photographer "pixeleye" and burlesque dancer Dynamite Betty from Berlin. :-) three beauties and a beast:
  17. thank you. i will give it a try. haha, new problem: as you can guess my car also does not have wiper arms and blades. i bought them at ebay but they´re lost in nirvana. now i have to search again. cwheel1975: linkage arms are under the dashboard. are there any more parts needed?
  18. i still don´t understand the difference between the motors: #NE4648MPR #NE4648MPRE is it really so importand if original was vacuum or electric? will the first item only work with original vacuum motor? do i need the second item only if the original radio is installed? i am really confused about the differences.
  19. thank you james 49ply. but, does it matter if original was electric or vacuum? i think originally it was a vacuum motor, but it seems that the tube is missing. so newport item number #NE4648MPR should be the right one? sorry for the questions, but before paying the shipping costs to germany i want to make shure it fits.
  20. it came without any motor. don´t know which parts are missing eventually, so my guess is, it is easier to switch to an electric motor.i did not find any electric motors except the newport stuff. my problem: i need it faaaaaast :-)
  21. any other idea where to buy (electic motor)? need it to get the car street legal
  22. can anyone tell me the difference between the two models for 1947 plymouth p15, 4dr? i am not shure which one to order and i got no response from newport. http://newportwipers.com/products.php?year=1946-48&make_id=15 is the only difference that one fits with stock radiobox? both are electric? thank you
  23. you may ask them: http://www.konfederateklassiks.de/home.php
  24. hi dirk, welcome. i´m from frankfurt/main. hope to see you at hindenberg dirt race next year. if my car will be running´til then... thomas
