Thanks for your help. I can't save all that I find but this one needed a savior. The older gentleman just piled cars and trucks behind his house and let them rot. This one needs a new owner as I have way too many on my plate. lol

I may buy it but nothing is moving off this property till the rain stops for at least a couple of weeks with some heat to dry this marsh land up. Floor pans are holy.

I found this in an old yard that I bought cars from. This one is on the crush list but I thought I better show you guys. Located in Little Rock, AR. I found this marker in the trunk.

I have or had 2'59 Dodge flathead cars and 2 '57 Plymouth Flat head cars and all came with the 1bbl and rated at 132HP

Mike36 mine didn't come with a 2bbl carb.

I guess when I get some of my other cars sold I'll put the last year of the Family Flathead on the road with some upgraded carb and exhaust mods. Am I the only one here running a '59 Flathead in the '59 Body???

After cleaning it I found these welded areas. It looks like these were reattached. Both of the double ears on the end of the tail shaft are heavily welded and 1 ear up a couple of inches appears to have been reattached. I don''t know if they were broken off completely or what. If the insides work correctly I guess it will be fine.

You off a cpl of years on application. '59 was the last year for the flathead being used in passenger cars. It was almost in Canada. North Dakota is cold and a long way from Arkansas. It was sent in 2 pieces on Fed Ex for $210.

Well I found one. It has a small piece of wiring harness with a button. and its connected to a relay. It was shipped in 2 pieces and has everything with it. Give me some feedback on these #'s. Should I rebuild it while I have it out. It was pulled out of a running car 45 yrs ago. It came out of a '59 Plymouth wagon. My clutch is starting to slip under a load so It time to do a swap.

Thanks for the pic and the info that I needed so that I know what to look for. I'm wanting to put one in the '59 Dodge that I posted. So it looks like I'm on the hunt for a 3 yr only transmission. I'm thinking that this trans will be in a Plymouth or Dodge '57-'59. Young Ed you think the trans is gone but why wouldn't they take the handle if they took the trans. Is this car near you??? I would take any of the parts that go to that OD trans. Young Ed please give me a call. 501-sixx too six- zero zero sixx sevin. Thanks, Dorsey

Anyone have a pic of this handle. Does it say Overdrive on the handle???

I was hoping to get a picture or 2 of the handle that you pull/push to engage the OD unit. I'm trying to find an OD trans for my '59 Dodge Coronet Flathead. I have a line on a couple of '50 Plymouths and 1 had a silver "t" handle on the left side of the column. It may have been the hood release. I know finding the right OD unit for my car is going to be tough.
