  1. I do have the shop manual and I was looking at the diagram and I didn’t see any wire gauge either .. hmmm interesting
  2. Howdy gents I have a 48 Dodge Custom, I have examined my harness and my cables are old and crumbling and I’m looking to replace them. I have old original wiring harness I’m sure. I don’t truly wanna buy a harness already made so I’m most likely making my own. So what gauge are these old wires I don’t see any markings . How many ? I noticed two different ones if I’m correct. Ome from the motor compartment and one runs off towards the rear . Any help appreciated. thanks in advanced . Fredo
  3. Thanks sniper always giving me a lot to chew on sir. Was considering getting new head but all sold out until god knows when. But thanks for giving me good pictures to refer too and good general direction. Using the old one just for hope the bad boy kicks over and all that. But in future I wanna get n aluminum head. So with that being said. Thanks again for all that info to chew on for a bit
  4. Thanks guys for the recommendations. Just got the head today and gasket is copper yes sniper.. I try to keep to OEM if at all possible even in my daily cars. But got the head dipped and magna flux and new plug.. but gonna take on putting it back.. how much is too much gasket sealant I guess is my only question. Says evenly I got that.. and I assume not caked on as well?
  5. Well it calls out for mopar perfect seal.. and with a quick google search. I get RTv and gasket maker.. so I’m hoping to get pointed to the right one the first time. So I don’t get any weeps, leaks, trickles..
  6. So after getting headed off and taking to Machine shop. What sealant would you all recommend for sealant? Like to hear thoughts?
  7. Yea Keith I figured that out at this point the seal washer in there was all to crap.. got to see a bunch of things I never knew I wanted to know. But I like stuff like that. But yes bought replacement
  8. And as I ask the question and ask… of course it comes off with all of my strength left in me 🤷‍♂️thanks guys
  9. Yea I have the Manual to how to.. I pulled the pin… and yea tried pulpy and still no go… I’ve tried for a while now using three clamp pulleys. Yes the tool in the top right corner of your picture is the one used. I couldn’t find it. Just like you said yup tried looking for a few days already. To avail , sorry for the confusion.. but yes it’s the hub under the pulley what would you call it… not the fan the fan comes off four bolts then pulley comes off that’s easy… pin punch drove out pin that’s no problem… its the damn hub I can’t pull off …
  10. No sir. The pulley under the fan.
  11. So I have bought several pulleys to remove the pulley off my fan … and with no success I have not found a look alike to the C-412. Anyone have any recommendations on which pulley to get..
  12. That is indeed what slap means. I could have used the alternative word and not caused any confusion.. but yes from where I’m from I use slang by nature. But much obliged for that answer sniper and the rest of you gents… I been busy pulling the head because my motor was a little stuck got it moving now, valves are also good .. need to either figure out how to clean the interior of them heads from long needed cleaning… before I put on.
  13. Na nit ignorant man just two flowers from different world my friend . I’m just a young cat with the word slap. lol and the other words are lifts
  14. Yea. It’s radio and wanting to put SLAP in my car and most likely better lights.. but yea it’s the rarer occurrence of the positive ground honestly. Could I do positive ground yea sure why not…. I work with elevators, dumbwaiters, stairlifts, door openers, VPLS, and IPLs all day… so why not just thinking about what is more abundant in terms of brighter lights. Etc etc.
  15. So on this positive ground system… is it a pain in the Ass to change to Negative ground system…. If anyone has done it what you need to swap change? Replace? Thanks
  16. Thanks Dan.. thank you for letting me know that .. wow puts a little fire under my ass to get working on it fast..
  17. Good luck then sniper if not sneak away and go play for a bit no play makes Johnny a dull boy
  18. Yes sir indeed. That is the first step gonna hand wash and vacuum tooth brush. Nd yea after the kitchen the latrine also wouldn’t mind a wash 😂
  19. Are these any better in terms of light ..
  20. Yea I can post more photos soon when I get home. I had towed it late at night so yea those are night pictures . So I will get em in better in a few hours. And yes the interior is pretty good.
  21. Ok Everybody here goes my pictures of my project.
  22. This is all I’m asking to hear about … perfect. Will send pics soon
  23. Well Los control, thank you for that again.. I will make sure I get pictures in soon as possible. But I am a man who wants OE so no I don’t really plan on swapping anything I want stock from what it was when it was on the road long ago. I do have an engine it’s a pretty complete car got a good find the interior is immaculate honestly and only a little rust on the body like like whole panels rusting off. I want to get it safe to drive, I know this isn’t gonna be an overnight thing I accept that. I do not know how long it sat where it sat. But it wasn’t covered by a barn or nothing. So I will send pictures soon. But I wish to rotisserie it at some point but that would be after I get the motor and tranny, gearbox all that running then i wanna get to the shocks and tie rods, so bring it to running and operational..
  24. Thank you for those links Sam. You the man Sam.. pleasure to meet you both
