I am getting ready to install the intake/exhaust manifolds and wanted to know if I can install one at a time lose and if I can which one goes on first ? I plan on cleaning out the water passages tomorrow. Ray J.

Day before yesterday I finally figured out the transmission is a 5 speed, no overdrive. Yesterday I installed the oil pan and cylinder head. Cleaned and painted fan battery box cover. Ray J.

Hello, they are 255/70R 22.5 on 22.5 x 7" rims. No faster than it will go does not concern me by mixing bias tires up front with the radials in the rear. Bought all my tires from Priority tire on Ebay. Bias tires came with flaps. Yes to one wheel. That is why I bought the dually bed so that the tires would not stick out past the bed sides. I know some people do not like a modern bed on an old truck. It will suit my needs as I sold my F250 to my b-inlaw and will need a pickup to do my hauling next spring. Ray J.

I moved the bed forward to where it will set and put the tires on a couple of days ago. Today I ran the valves, ran a thread chaser in each head bolt hole and cleaned and painted some floor parts. Hope to get the head, oil filter, oil fill tube and plug the dizzy hole and flush the block next week. Ray J.

Today was tranny day. I pressure washed it inside and out. Put tranny on an old engine stand and made a steady bar that goes through the u-joint and has a pin in the engine stand at the bottom and a pin just under the u-joint that keeps it pretty level. Filled tranny with 50-50 mix of ATF and acetone. It had some chocolate pudding and one small piece of a chipped tooth. Other wise looks good. Started moving bed back onto a metal table but I ran out of steam, so that is foe tomorrow. With bed off I will put on tires and roll it outside and wash out the cooling passages. My new water pump does not have the bypass on top like my old one. Wikk it work ok or do I need to modify something ? Ray J.

Yesterday I cut up boxes. Enough that it filled 4 big boxes. Continued making and installing front brake line and hoses. After painting a good working wiper motor it will not run. MY MOTO is "there's always somethin" Ray J.

Today I finished 2 1/2 days of making, painting and installing the alternator bracket. Completed some more wiring. Tomorrow is box cut up day before work on the truck. Could not get to my oil for all the boxes. New fuel tank came. Ray J.

Thanks Dave. I have looked at some BMW clips but they do not give specs like Summit racing does on some of the clips they sell. Dorman may have something that can work. FleaBay dude wants almost 12 bucks each and I need 4 clips. Thanks again. Ray J.

I only painted the wiper motor and went to DR. and had company this week. These are the brake components I am going to use. Hope they do the job. Has anyone found a replacement clip that holds the inside wiper arm to the wiper motor shaft Ray J.

I will look on the boxes for part numbers or SKU #. Go to Dr. tomorrow which is 90 miles one way so probably Friday to answer. I bought both reman from Autozone. Ray J.

Cleaned flywheel surface where ring gear sets and installed new ring gear. Will get it resurfaced to get rid of bad spot where molly the mouse did her business. Found the rear brake banjo bolts so I installed them with new copper washers. I have a 1970's Ford F250 drum brake booster and master cylinder that I will install as soon as the flywheel and clutch are reinstalled. I drilled between two bad teeth on the ring gear and gave it a couple of whacks with a chisel and hammer and it popped open. I used my MAP gas and made 3 slow revolutions on top and 3 on the bottom of the new ring gear and it went on the flywheel very smoothly. Ray J.

Clutch and flywheel are out and ring gear removed. Ran a new brake line from side to side on the rear end. Tomorrow I will clean up the flywheel and attempt to install the new ring gear. How do you remove the throw out bearing from the collar and install a new one ? Ray J.

Tranny is out and next will be the clutch, flywheel and all related parts. Ray J.

You really love Chrysler products. My wife claims the Toyota twin cam powered 1961 Morris Minor 1000. I claim the 1961 Volvo 544 powered by Chevy 4 cylinder and a Supra 5 speed. The Dodge truck has taken center stage over finishing the cars. Best Ray J.

Mine is electric also but does not look like your picture. I woke it up with a 12volt tickle and then used a 12 to 6v converter to run it for a few minutes. Extremely quiet. Removed driveshaft from tranny and am waiting for weather to get out of the extreme heat advisory before I remove tranny, clutch and flywheel. Ray J.

not much accomplished lately. Removed wiper motor for testing, started wiring, made up front and rear brake lines and removed front driveshaft at the transmission. Wife came home from a visit with her sis in Maine and brought back covid. I did not catch it thank the Lord. Today I will install the front and rear brake lines and remove the clutch bolts and test the wiper motor on 6 volts. Ray J.

Just a piece of cardboard. Today the plan changed. After three days of luby-duby with PB blaster I removed the clutch and brake pedals and the tranny bolts. Tranny is on a jack and will move it back tomorrow. Cab back and floor will wait until clutch and ring gear are replaced. Ray J.

All new clutch parts are finally here. Cut out bad section of floor. Lubed up clutch and brake pedal attachment points in preparation to pull tranny back far enough to get clutch and flywheel out. Plan to fit the pieces I made for the back of the cab tomorrow. Quit today when it reached 95 in the shop. Ray J.

My wheel cylinders were in excellent condition. They were redone before it was parked. The old pistons still had the red anodized coating on them. Bought new pistons off of evilbay plus cups, expanders and end caps. Honed and reassembled. We are under a heat advisory so no work yesterday or today. Wish I had AC in my shop. Ray J.

Been busy with honey do list. Firewall is painted, rear end relocated and bolted in place and waiting on some spring eye bolts. Cut out rust at the bottom of the cab back and made new pieces to be plug welded in and then seam sealed. Today is shop blow out dust and vacuum floor and truck day. Ray J.

The rear spring hangers and spring eye bushings are out and that was a job. Bushings are on order. Started prep work to remove the clutch. Ring gear is also on order. Tomorrow is definitely a wiring day. Ray J.

Should have been more clear, the Dewalt is a hammer drill / drill. It shows the chuck should be here tomorrow. Took the weekend off. If you have any ring gear mfg. preference let me know. Ray J.
