please can someone explain the bypass oil filter to me? I received new oil filters from the USA. However, the filter that was installed is about 1:2" higher than the new filters. To check whether the oil flow was still guaranteed, I emptied the filter again. As I understand it, the oil comes from outside, runs through the filter material and returns cleanly in the riser pipe? But I can find only a tiny 0.1“ hole 1“ below upper end in the riser pipe? Am I making a mistake in my thinking? Thanks Joe

I got the WIX 1010 Filters today but they are smaller in height than the old one. Had to put on shim rings on the riser pipe so the spring in cover made enough force to hold the filter down. I am wondering will they work too? I don’t really understand the oil flow. Are there holes in the riser pipe so the oil goes thru? Couldn’t find holes.… Thank you Joe

Remote battery main switch. I installed an old battery main switch in an unused cable gland. All I had to do was drill a hole in the firewall mat with the antenna drill. Even the holes on the cover were identical to the holes on the switch. The cover is a cap from a spray can. All that was needed was a new cable from the switch to the starter. Maybe it will help. The advantage is that you can switch it on from the inside at any time and even remove the key. The switch used is old GDR army stock but you can probably find something similar online. Best regards Joe

Thank you! The shop manual I have already but there is NO wiring diagram in it. Maybe someone stole it .... ? Problem is: i am working on it now. When I buy one at eBay in US it will take up to 2 weeks to get it here... That's the reason I look for a scan or PDF Joe

I love you car. This is what I am looking for with the Fulton. I will hire a Friend and see how we can get it done. Thanks for your advice ! Joe

Gentlemen, have a hard time to get the Fulton installed on my 41 Dodge Business Coupe. A little bend here and there and the shape is okay so far. But the Brackets are way out of angle? I toughr they are universal fit? Is there something wrong? I know it’s not everybody’s taste but i like it. Joe

41 Dodge - what’s this switch/ ignition lock question
GTfastbacker replied to GTfastbacker's topic in P15-D24 Forum
Gentlemen, i got the car running. It purrs like a car and drives like new. Thank you for your support! -
Good morning, Have you ever stumbled across an AM Bluetooth transmitter while browsing? To the surprise, the old AM tube radio in the old '41 Dodge works. I would like to let this play. The fact that the car has plus on the body and only 6V is bad for a cigarette lighter transmitter, but something can certainly be done with a voltage increase to 12V and a cigarette lighter socket isolated from the body? Maybe an AM-FM transmitter for 6V positive ground would also be an option, if there was something? Best regards Joe

41 Dodge - what’s this switch/ ignition lock question
GTfastbacker replied to GTfastbacker's topic in P15-D24 Forum
Thank you! The starter pedal is working, maybe the Battery was a little low. Was wondering since the starter turns in every ignition key position? Will try it tomorrow again and check for spark. The accelerator pump in carb works fine, so fuel is not the problem. Joe -
Hello, i try to get our new acquisition a 41 Dodge running. No success so far. Wondering what’s this little switch under ignition lock for? Also what’s the correct key position to get ignition? i assume it’s right? Thank you
