  1. Google shows this as a sealed bulb that is 5" That's lose but not the 4 5/8" listed on the lens
  2. Well maybe good news.... I was able to un crimp the front lens from the light. It appears the bulb is soldered in. Im unable to read the bulb type. So, any ideas on what buld could be used to replace? The front of the bulb is black in color.
  3. Need a little help identifying A & F on delco remy generator. In unable to read the markings. I see the the upper lug looks smaller guage. (#1) I'm thinking that is the field. I'm planning to connect to the VR today.
  4. I will and report back my findings. Thank you to the group for the input thus far.
  5. This is helpful information. I was going crazy tring to figure out what i wired incorrectly not getting power to the parking lights. I'm glad I did not wrap the wiring harness yet. I'm still going though all the connections and need to get some duel filament bulbs to test the turn singnal wiring. My local auto parts store does not carry 6v bulbs. I will probably buy led bulbs online. I was hoping to test with standard off the self bulds first. I guess my thinking was it would be cheaper to use standard bulbs but I don't se them in my local Advance auto
  6. This is a sealed beam. I have no continuity between power and ground on the bulb
  7. I have been rewiring wiring my 1948. looking over the wiring diagram in the manual I connected the front running lights to the headlight switch as shown. My issue is when I pull the switch out one click, I get power to tail lights, dash lights, and front running lights. When I pull the switch to the second click, I get power to headlight dimmer, tail lights, and dash. The front running lights pin on the switch drops power at this position. I took the switch apart to check all contacts were good and they are. The tail lights and dash light pins are strapped together but front running lights and headlights alternate from position 1 to position 2. My question is, are the front running lights supposed to turn off when the headlights are on?
  8. Correct, it is a sealed beam bulb. I'm just having trouble locating amber 4 5/8' 6v sealed beam bulb replacements
  9. I have a set of fog lamps on 1948 ply. The bulb reads 4 5/8 . I'm looking for replacements. I provided power but they did not light up. 6v pos ground car.
  10. 230 block has two coolant plugs behind pressure plate.
  11. Happy Saturday! Id like to set the valve clearance on my 230 engine. I'm hoping some can provide the recommend "COLD" setting for this engine. I watched member Keith's video on this process but he was working on a larger flathead so I'm unsure if the lash setting are the same. Thanks in advance. 🔧
  12. I have never seen this post and feel it's a great option. Im considering sams setup for my p15. I'm not loving the idea of single pot for front and rear. My stock MS needs to be replaced so this my be a good option.
