Can a car with the M-6 tranny be towed on a dolly without removing the driveshaft??

Thanks guys, The reason I am not taking it is that I also have a 1950 DeSoto that does run. It is 500 miles from here to where I am moving. I can only haul one car on the back of the U-haul. I also have my Crown Vic to take there too. I would really like to keep it but I don't know how to get it there without spending more than it is worth. And, I will only have a one car garage. At this point I can't justify the expense of moving it. I will take pictures tomorrow and post some and see if anyone thinks I can get $800 for it on the bay. I just hate to pay their darn fees. Thanks, Woody

Retiring and relocating soon and need to sell my p11. Have a potential local buyer but no cash yet. If that falls thru, what is a fair price if I list it on ebay? Body has surface rust and a couple of minor dents but nothing major. The floor pans are shot. So are the seats. I rebuilt the starter and generator. The engine will turn using the starter but I have no spark. No time left to find out why... probably something simple. New plugs, wires, cap.rotor, condenser installed.Grill should clean up nice. Plus a lot of extra parts too numerous to mention here. Good set of 15" radials on it and all four original rims and hub caps. Can anyone suggest a fair price????? Thanks, Woody

Like the one in David Maxwells picture. Thanks

I think it is called a bell crank. It swivels on a pin on top of the block and the carb linkage connects to it. It is for a p11. Anyone have one to sell?? Thanks, Woody

After I finish honing, can the M/C be bench tested for leaking by putting pressure on the rod??? Anyone know the cost of having one sleeved if necessary????

After soaking it several times with PB Blaster and tapping it with a hammer the washer came loose. Had to keep soaking and abeating it to get the rest of it out. The inside feals rough in spots. Will try honong it out some.

This picture is like the one on my 1950 DeSoto. The P11 is different, there is a piston stop lock ring that holds everything inside. That came off easily. Under that is the piston washer. It is that washer that won't come out.

Putting a rebuild kit in a M/C on my P11. My book says after the lock ring is removed, pull out the piston stop washer and piston. I cant get the washer off. Is there a trick to this???????

Yanked the genny from the p11 a few days ago to check it out. Sanded the commutator with fine paper ang cleaned the grooves with the tip of a knife. The brushes were hardley worn but the wires did not look so good. Took it today and had a parts store put it on their machine to spinn it for me. I tester it with my meter while spinning and got 0 volts.

Connected the jumpers as mentioned. Starter whurrs but does not turn the engine. I can't get to the upper bolt to yank it out. Can't find my S-shaped 5/8 wrench that I used on my DeSoto. My 5/8 box wrench is not long enough and not enouhg room and to much in the way to lock another to it. Any suggestions?????? Woody
