I live about 57 miles northeast of Newport. I have been going to Newport for about 20 odd years. If you have not been it is a must see. I take the ol' 50 just for show and fun. If you want to see more info they have a web sight and you can register your car on line now. Don I have some photos on my photobucket. I bought some Wheel Vintiques Chrysler O.E.M. style from Summit for less than $400 including shipping for my 50. -
Instead of messing up another old car of any brand why not buy a newer car such as a Nova that already has sbc and auto trans and leave the old cars to others who like them the way they are.

Almost for got! My dad has been running Pertronix on his 74 VW for six years with no troubles.

Call Joe McGinnis at 706-781-2805 or 706-745-3985 , he makes new drive shafts. I had him make me one. It was around $375.00. plus shipping $14 to $25. He only makes shafts for Mopars. Good guy to work with!

I think Toyota better be watching there quality instead of taking G.M. off the top selling car maker. They have had recalls for the Tundra for ball joint problems and then there is there little secret engine sludge problem on some models. Honda is now contacting millions of Honda owners of a odometer reading more miles than driven ,as of a result of a lawsuit. I think I will stick to my old cars!

My daily driver is a 1981 Volkswagen Rabbit Diesel when the snow is not deep! If it is I drive my 1996 Ram 1500 4x4. I drive 56miles round trip each day to and from work.

Does anybody make a 6 volt wiper motor to re-place the vacuum wipers for a P-20 ?

I have the same type of problem with my p20 after I rebuilt the engine and installed new mounts. It has a vibration only at idle though. I then ordered mounts from Kanter to see if they were differant and they were about a half of a inch to tall and would not fit and were even harder than the ones that I allready had installed the first time.I think that who ever is making these new mounts are not making them of the right type of rubber.I would like to find some good nos mounts to compare the hardness with. The service book notes that the mounts should be soft and plyable.
