I have a 46 or 47 fluid drive trans...I have the emergency brake handle but the cable was cut I have no idea where I can get this part or even how gets set up..someone please help

Would something like a 87' Camaro rear work for the swap... I dont mind the lug pattern change because im also going to be ordering new wheels. Also, whats the going price for the Dakota rear I got priced for around $250...the Camaro rear for about $150

I am from New Jersey I am just looking for a rear that will be somewhat of a common find such as you stated a 1990 Dakota rear seem like that would be easier to find at a local junk yard than anything from the 60's. Where the tube widths the same or did you have to fabricate a new shackle plate?

Im looking to change out my rear in my 47 Plymouth. I have a stock set up and would just like to get a better highway speed. What would be the easiest rear and best option for what I am looking for?
