Mostly wood working and fishing. This is my first vehicle project.
  1. I just installed weatherstriping around the doors and floor today. Doors shut tight and seal correctly. Floor seal closes the gap from floor to doors. I'll try to get my Mrs. to shoot some digitals and forward them. Good Luck on your project. My truck and wallet are both about done.
  2. My '51 B3C has a street rod tilt wheel. I want to install a custom wooden steering wheel but don't know what adaptor kit to get. Is there a code or serial number on the column that will indicate it's origin? Always appreciate your help. Thanks
  3. Fellow had a used gauge cluster for sale, in our Truck Parts, two weeks back. Here's the number 478-225-6090 miloandlenette@cox.net
  4. Here's a handy guide to troubleshooting most any gauge problems. http://www.gaugeguys.com/trouble.htm Dan Superior, WI
  5. Today I learned that seats do not hold up very well without windshields and windows to protect them! After slipping and sliding all over a slippery junk yard I did find a pair of leather buckets that were just the right color - that they were electric and heated was a plus. Now I can decide what the interior will look like?
  6. I've got a bench seat, wrong color for the eventual truck repaint and it's neither original nor even fastened tp the truck. I hope that with all the vehicles about to be crushed, I can find something really nice while stillaffordable and ideally a 60/40 similiar to what I have and love in my new truck. Dan
  7. I'm in Superior but haven't found any yards with the very old cars or trucks. I did luck out and find a '53 that I scavenged a few items from.
  8. There's a wrecking yard near me that got most of the pickups from the Duluth-Superior area. I thought I'd go shopping. Now I'll look at the mini's as well.
  9. It seems like the Clunkers program should provide ample parts to modify the old bench seat in my B3C. Has anyone found a good marriage of a late model seat(s) for their Pilot House or, has anyone learned a sorry lesson the hard way? I'd be grateful to hear either way. Thanks
  10. My '51s in the shop getting a rebuild and I'm looking for the grill moulding which is the two bars plus medallion. I have the one's that came with the truck but they're in sad shape. I'm also looking for the parking light doors (trim rings) chrome or stainless would be wonderful. Thanks for any help. dhawkin@centurytel.net[/email]
  11. John, I'm new to the site but a native to the "northwoods" here in Superior. Soon my B3B will add one more to the road.
