  1. i done them, it is an awful job. it will definitely try your patience. i tried it both ways, ended up putting the rubber on the glass, then after a lot of aggravation and swearing i got one in. i was so mad i didnt do the other one for days later. it was no better. the rubber doesnt like the curve of the glass. i am no expert but i had a lot of trouble with mine.. the other glass went in fine. sorry i could not help. clifford

  4. my book says i need a special tool to adj. the front brakes on my 1951 dodge pickup with the drums removed to expose the adjusters. is there another way? thanks, clifford.

  6. the cab on my 51 still shows some of the blue paint. i am trying to identify it so i can buy new paint. my question is does anyone know what the dark blue paint # is? i usually buy napa paint. thankyou, clifford.

  9. i am looking for the spring that goes on the window mechanism on drivers door of 1951 dodge pickup. also need the two springs for the door latch. does anyone know where i can buy them? thanks, clifford.
  10. the best i could get is 3 inches + what does that indicate? the truck clutch does not slip when i drive it, i start in gear but it wont disengauge. i think it is close, but their is no adjustment left?
  11. i am working on a 1951 B3C pickup. i cant get the clutch to disengauge using the pedal. i can do it with large channel locks under the truck turning the arm . the adjustment is as short as it will go. what am i not seeing? i have the cover off so i can see. thankyou, clifford.

  13. thanks guys, i finally found one a a carquest parts store with a left turn accessory terminal for 18.00. pt #53-27582 in case any one is looking for one.

  17. hi, i am in s.w. oregon. i bought this truck for the storage bill. been sitting for lots of years but is completely stock and sound. i am still trying to get it started. it had plugged fuel line in tank. then bad fuel pump. now i have the carb. off waiting on a repair kit. i expect to find more problems, but i dont give up easily.. can someone tell me if the 51 trucks are positive ground or not. and how can you tell? thankyou, clifford
  18. i recently purchased a 1951 dodge pickup. the bolt pattern is 5 on 5. my question is is this stock or has it been changed? also where did the term pilothouse come from? thanks, clifford.
